Bill of Rights - Web Quest

This Web Quest is designed as an extra-credit assignment. The more you do,the more credit you will receive.  Each Amendment is worth 10 points. Check the Rubric for grading specifics.


Introduction: What would your life be like without the Bill of Rights? What if there were no protections for the accused or freedom of speech, religion, or assembly? How would this change your life and the citizens of America?

Your Task: Keeping in mind the introduction, you have a choice of the following for each of the 10  Bill of Rights. Use one or all three, but you only need to do one task for each amendment. These events are an opportunity for you to use your imagination and make up an event that can be related to the protections provided by the Bill of Rights.

1. Blog an event in your life that could happen if we did not have the Bill of Rights.
2. Write a newspaper article about an event that could occur without the Bill of Rights.
3Make a political cartoon about an event that could occur without the Bill of Rights. (Use this website if you need help with this task: http://www.newsweekeducation.com/extras/policartoons.php)
Resources: Use the following websites to gather the information you need. You may use any additional site you find on your own. Your are also required to read, watch or listen to one book or Audio/Visual resource related to the Bill of Rights. You may use one of the books or Audio/Visual resources listed or find one of your own, but be sure to get teacher approval. Additionally, your text book is also an excellent resource.
